Welcome to the Year 3 Starlings Page
Starlings have been studying to work of artist John Dyer and learning about his adventures in the South American rainforest with the Yawanawa tribe. Today we have been learning about different rainforest plants then mixing colours and creating our own abstract leaf paintings.
The Starlings have been thinking of questions to ask our special visitor Farmer Juhn from Africa, based on our literacy story ‘The Papaya that Spoke.’
The Starlings have been working on collages of the school meadow over the past 3 weeks, identifying plants, animals and food chains. This is part of our work for the Habitats Project. All their individual pictures can be joined together to create a meadow!
Starlings class did a fabulous job following instructions to make our very own focaccia bread with our school grown rosemary - amazing!
What we will be covering this term
Please find a downloadable copy of our 'Curriculum Letter' in below - enclosed is an overview of all the exciting things that the Starlings will be up to this term!
Starlings class went into the woodland to build dens for our Lego friends. Once we made these dens we wrote our own set of instructions on how we built them!
