Sex and Relationship Policy
Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) consultation - June 2021
As a part of your child’s education at St Merryn School, we promote their personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive relationships, social, health education (RSHE) curriculum.
A key element of the RSHE curriculum, relates to relationships and sex education (RSE). The Department for Education (DfE) released updated guidance on the delivery of Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), which schools are required to have in place by the end of the academic year 2021. As always, all teaching will take place in a safe learning environment and will be underpinned by our school ethos and values.
As a school community, we are committed to working in partnership with parents, in all aspects of children’s schooling and we will now be holding a parent consultation, which will begin on Monday 14th June and close on Monday 28th June 2021
As part of this, we invite you to:
- Read through our draft RSHE policy.
- Read the parent information leaflets
- View the information PowerPoint.
- Give your thoughts and opinions, by answering questions in the online questionnaire.
